In April 2001 The Boeing corporation announced the of move their Headquarters from Seattle to Chicago by October of the same year. I moved to Chicago, as a part of the design team, to accomplish the seemingly impossible task. We were expected to design and build the top fifteen floors of a high rise in the heart of Chicago’s downtown, with offices, executive suites, television & media center, gymnasium, board rooms, retail store, executive kitchen and dining facilities in six months.
