Located in the heart of the Washington DC’s  famed K St Corridor the Liberty building at 1129 20th ST NW was a 1960 vintage office building in poor repair.

The project called for the addition of two floor steel frame structure to the existing 8 storey concrete frame building, new state of the art curtain wall skin, vertical circulation and mechanical systems, for "A" class office building rating.

The new 1129 boasts a LEED gold certification; abundant daylighting; rooftop garden, spa, & restaurant.

The liberty building is a dramatic addition to the growing number of modernist  designs in a city that has long favored historicist architecture.
